At Joeycakes, I specialize in creating personalized and extraordinary cakes for any occasion. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, wedding, anniversary, baby shower, or any other special event, I'm here to make it memorable with the perfect cake. While I've always loved baking for those close to me, it was only in 2020 that the notion of baking as a profession became a possibility. With my job at the Manhattan Passenger Cruise Terminal put on hold due to the pandemic--and a lot of newfound free time--I resolved to follow my passion and attend Hudson County Community College's Culinary Arts Institute, specializing in their Baking and Pastry program. There, I found expert instruction, lifelong friends, and a strong sense of community.  In 2023, I graduated with a strong skill set, a meticulous eye for detail, and a strengthened sense of passion and conviction that baking and cake decoration was the ideal outlet for my creativity. And thus Joeycakes was born! As a proudly gay-owned and operated business, I believe that a cake should be the centerpiece of any celebration, reflecting the unique style and personality of the person or event being honored.  Reach out anytime so we can begin making your dream cake a reality!
